2017 Holiday Campaign

In the fall of 2017, store.google.com saw a major product launch and new accompanying redesign. I designed the layout and visual design of index pages, product detail pages, emails, and partner pages for various holiday campaigns and evergreen.

The challenge was to group product family modules in an aesthetically pleasing manner and reorder them based on Retail’s different market offerings, while adhering to the new design system. Set in a winter wonderland theme, I worked with our internal teams and vendor Brand New School NY to produce the holiday “window displays” which we laid out in modules for web, email, and mobile web.

 
 

Design and implementation guidelines for email differed from their web counterpart. For example, CTA placement, subtitles were limited to two lines max in emails and discouraged for web, and padding between copy to hardware differed in web and email. I worked closely with dev in Canada to ensure assets for emails and index were kitted different locales in time for a phased launch.

Black Friday / Cyber Monday

Black Friday / Cyber Monday was the first email campaign I art directed. Working with the GStore creative director and production artists, I iterated through product and copy layouts before finalizing, getting approval, implementing and launching in a short turnaround. I also worked with the copywriter to strategize phased email gamification for the holiday campaigns including BF/CM.

New Year’s Campaign 2018

Collaborating with the copywriter and creative director, I worked on the visual design and layout and helped ship the New Year’s homepage and email campaign of 2018.
